For much of the past year, the Bank continued to work through pandemic-related issues, always with a focus on employee and customer safety. It seems that almost everything has been impacted, from staffing to facilities to sales efforts to customer service. While every organization has faced challenges, we are so proud of our crew of immensely dedicated employees who proved time and time again that we care deeply about our community, our customers, and each other. Growth on both sides of the balance sheet is evidence that we continue to successfully navigate whatever comes our way.
2021 was a year of exciting milestones for Winchester Savings Bank. We celebrated 150 years as a local, independent bank. We also recognized the amazing tenure of Peter J. Segerstrom, President & CEO for 33 years and faithful employee even longer than that. His retirement was a watershed moment for the Bank, and I am honored to take up the reins and guide us into the next 150 years.
I see a great future for Winchester Savings Bank. Our team is talented, disciplined, and motivated, and we are building on the tremendous foundation already in place. We are excited to show what we can do.
As always, we are proud to be a local bank with a strong financial foundation, a tradition of exceptional service and a legacy of community involvement and support. For 150 years, Winchester Savings Bank has been an excellent place to keep your money safe; to speak with friendly, knowledgeable experts about financing a home, saving for the future, and guiding your business; and to access services that offer both value and convenience. You will always find someone here who will work with you to explore your options and help you make smart financial choices.
All of us here at Winchester Savings Bank wish you a healthy and prosperous 2022.
